How Odds Up Works: Enter, Draw, Win

Most Odds Up competitions draw after all tickets are allocated, followed by a one-hour countdown. These competitions have no fixed closing date, so the wait depends on entries and cannot be guaranteed. Some competitions have a closing date, shown on their listing and competition page. Read the individual rules for what happens if that date arrives before sell-out.

We focus on limited ticket pools with published odds. For a sell-out competition, filling that pool helps fund the advertised prize before the draw runs. Some competitions use a closing date instead. The ticket limit, tickets remaining and draw timing are shown before you enter.

A competition without a closing date stays open until all tickets are allocated. There is no guaranteed waiting time. If a competition has a closing date and reaches it before sell-out, entries close and the draw or refund outcome follows its published rules and our Terms and Conditions.

Every draw uses cryptographically secure random number generation that cannot be predicted or manipulated. When a competition sells out, there's a 1-hour countdown before the automated draw. All results are recorded with timestamps, the winning ticket number, and a complete audit trail available for verification.

Winners are notified immediately via email and have 48 hours to claim through their dashboard. You'll need to upload valid UK photo ID (passport or driving licence) for age verification. Once verified (typically 24-48 hours), we arrange tracked courier delivery to your address.

Card details are entered into a secure form served by our payment provider, DNA Payments, which opens over the competition page, and they never reach our servers. Free competitions can be entered instantly, and every paid competition has a free postal entry route with exactly the same chance of winning.

Odds are straightforward: if a competition has 50 tickets and you buy 1, your odds are 1 in 50. Buy 5 tickets and your odds improve to 5 in 50 (1 in 10). These examples assume a sold-out draw with one winning ticket. Check the ticket cap and cost on each competition.

Yes. Each paid competition sets one maximum number of tickets per person, shown on the competition page, and you can reach it by free postal entry, by paid entry, or any mix of the two. Postal entries, paid tickets, referral reward tickets and promotional free entries all count towards that same maximum. For free competitions, you can enter up to the per-person entry limit shown on the competition page.

After ID verification (usually 24-48 hours), physical prizes are dispatched via tracked courier. UK delivery typically takes 2-5 business days, and you'll receive tracking information by email. Digital prizes or vouchers are delivered instantly after verification.

Winners have 48 hours from the notification email to claim their prize via the dashboard. If the prize remains unclaimed after this period, we conduct a redraw to select an alternate winner from the remaining ticket holders. This ensures fairness to all participants who entered the competition.
